Ishmael!
A circus-inspired musical
Climax part 1
The sailors sing a multi-part sea shanty aboard a swinging Pequod. A projection of Moby Dick gives chase in the background. As the sailors fall to the whale one-by-one, their part in the harmony is lost. Sailors fall into a swimming pool in the stage.

Climax part 2
Music is silenced. There is no one to sing along anymore. Captain Ahab climbs an aerial silk to deliver his famous monologue as Moby Dick rears his head one more time. Due to Ahab's disability, this is the only time he is airborne during the show. He spears Moby Dick and plummets from the silk, left to hang upside down for a moment before being raised up and out of sight.

Ishmael alone
Ishmael floats onstage, sitting on a coffin. He feebly tries to sing the last shanty of his crewmates but, unwilling to carry the melody, his harmony falls empty and alone. Fade to black.
